OPERATIONS MANAGER

Responsibilities

  • Direct report to the CEO
  • Planning and implementation of logistics and production strategy
  • Coordination and management of subordinate departments
  • Development of production activities, identification of new and improvement of existing production, quality and purchasing processes (Continuous improvement)
  • Coordination and supervision of the proper production and logistics process in the company, with particular emphasis on ensuring product quality and timely deliveries
  • Cooperation with the Financial Director/Management Board in determining and monitoring main production and financial indicators
  • Delegating key production indicators
  • Ensuring that all business activities are conducted smoothly and efficiently.
  • Responsibility for the supply chain necessary to implement projects acquired by the Company;
  • Cooperation with the Financial Director in the field of creating and monitoring budgets.

Professional experience

  • Engineering background from a production, automation, or assembly industries with up-to-date technological knowledge – min 10 years
  • International thinker who can collaborate with foreign customers and can work with other nationalities. US experience is an advantage.
  • Capability to manage in a complex production environment and participate in daily problem solving.
  • Understanding planning and design and the capability of recommending efficiency and execution upgrades
  • Process management and project management experience, understanding work flows and having an eye for details.
  • Understanding lean, and the capability to apply it to the everyday work environment.
  • Analytical and data management knowledge for reporting and financial impact studies, capability to set up and run KPI systems and understand deviations and trends.
  • Experience in change management

 Leadership experience

  • Proven track record (minimum 5 years) of managing complex teams in different functions (planning, design, engineering, production, assembly, and supply chain)
  • Perseverance with complex and long-lasting projects of high value
  • Capability to make decisions and make trade-offs when needed.
  • Advanced people management skills for coordination, communication, motivation, and performance control
  • Supporting attitude towards team members and good collaboration with connected areas
  • Priority setting and focus on delivering results, keeping timelines and budgets.
  • Change manager, who is willing to drive changes step by step and who is capable to take the organization with him in these changes.
  • Developing himself and his teams and following technology advancements
  • Good cultural fit to the management and employee teams of Transsystem and a team player.
  • Knowledge of English enabling easy everyday cooperation and reporting in this language
