On December 3, 2024, at the County Vocational Training Center (PCKZ) in Łańcut, a ceremonial agreement was signed establishing the patronage of a new vocational training program—welding technician—offered at the Complex of Technical Schools (ZST) in Łańcut. This partnership is supported by Transsystem S.A., a company based in Wola Dalsza near Łańcut. The event was graced by the presence of Ms. Barbara Pilawa-Kraus, Deputy Starosta of the Łańcut District.
Representing Transsystem S.A. were Arkadiusz Grabski, President of the Board; Tomasz Duda, Vice President for Sales; and Tomasz Szylar, HR Manager. On behalf of the Technical School Complex and the District Vocational Training Center in Łańcut, attendees included Andrzej Plecki, Director of PCKZ in Łańcut; Marek Miezin, Director of ZST in Łańcut; Andrzej Dec, a welding instructor and researcher at Rzeszów University of Technology; and welding teachers Marek Łania and Bogusław Bieniek.
The meeting commenced with a presentation by Transsystem S.A. representatives, who outlined the company’s current operations. The company specializes in the production of technological transport systems for tire, rim, and wheel manufacturers, as well as for the intralogistics and e-commerce industries. A critical element of their operations is the welding process, making the new course highly relevant to their field.
Ms. Pilawa-Kraus highlighted the Łańcut County Office's commitment to enhancing vocational education. She underscored ongoing efforts to improve the quality and appeal of practical training in vocational schools, develop existing programs, and introduce new, forward-looking specializations tailored to the needs of the local labor market. She also emphasized the significant investments made annually, both from EU-funded projects and local resources, to establish a modern and practical training infrastructure in Łańcut. Meanwhile, school directors and welding instructors noted the challenges in encouraging elementary school graduates to pursue vocational training in technical and trade schools.
Discussions during the meeting explored various forms of collaboration between the school and Transsystem S.A. These included organizing professional excursions, having company representatives participate in the District Education Fair, facilitating monthly internships, and other joint initiatives. The meeting concluded with a tour of the workshop facilities led by Mr. Andrzej Pilecki, the Director. The gathering was marked by a constructive and cordial atmosphere, paving the way for promising developments in the welding program. By combining the school’s educational resources with Transsystem S.A.’s industrial expertise, the partnership sets a strong foundation for the future of vocational education in the region.
